Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Newcastle

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis in a welcoming primary school in Newcastle. This full-time position begins immediately after May half term and will continue into the new academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role:

  • Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them access the curriculum and develop both academically and socially.

  • Collaborating closely with class teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored support strategies.

  • Contributing to the wider school community with professionalism and a positive attitude.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally supporting pupils with additional needs.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A caring and patient approach with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
