1:1 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Manchester

  • Full time role
  • Immediate start available, fixed contract until May half term in the first instance
  • Competitive rate of pay up to £1350 per month
  • Introduction to an Ofsted 'Good' secondary school in South Manchester

Our client school in South Manchester have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join their Special Educational Needs department. This is a temporary positon starting after the Easter break until May half term in the first instance with the potential to continue through until the end of the academic year. The successful Teaching Assistant will work with individuals and small groups to provide high quality learning support to pupils with special educational needs.

We are looking for an individual who has the ability to develop and maintain good professional relationships with student and staff whilst contributing to a positive and nurturing learning environment for students with SEN. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with young adults or children with SEN and will display warmth, care and sensitivity. They will be open minded and will be able to adapt to new situations and challenges positively.

Our client school is a thriving secondary school with just under 800 pupils on roll located in South Manchester. It has become the local secondary provider of choice at the heart of our community and has been on an amazing journey to improve education for all of their students. The school recently received an excellent Ofsted which commented on it's 'Outstanding' features for teaching and pastoral support.

The school has a high percentage of students who require Special Educational Needs, higher than the national average. We are therefore looking for a passionate and caring individual who will join our partner school and support them on their journey towards academic excellence.
