Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint Behaviour Support Assistants to join Secondary Schools that we are working in partnership with. The schools all cater to pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues which can cause them to be disengaged in their learning. Some of the pupils have poor social skills and challenging behaviour and tend to come from disadvantaged backgrounds and complex families. So exceptional interpersonal skills are vital.
Responsibilities of this role will be:
- Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis in lessons
- Non-Judgemental and person centred individual
- Motivate and encourage pupils with challenging behavioural issues
- Provide personalised learning experience for pupils
Your role as a Behavioural Support Assistant will incorporate working in mainstream lessons supporting the pupils, preparing resources for identified pupils and working closely with them in a classroom setting. The main job role will be to support and improve behaviour, increase engagement levels of the pupils and form strong bonds by providing tailored care and acting as a role model.
What Teaching Personnel can offer you:
- Daily, weekly and term long roles
- A two way diary which allows you to block dates you can't work
- Professional and supportive consultants
- Opportunities to gain experience and strengthen your CV
- CPD and ongoing training available
If you are interested in being considered for these roles or to find out about any other opportunities we may have please get in touch with Kayla on 0191 223 5074 or via email at
