Are you a calm, resilient and compassionate person? Do you want to make the biggest difference with the most troubled and vulnerable teenagers in your community? Have you always wanted the opportunity to work in a school but you don't have the necessary qualifications or training so don't know where to start? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This is not your typical school. The class sizes are small, there is huge amount of support and the curriculum focuses on creative and practical learning. Therapy is a huge focus in this school. The students here have suffered trauma, has dysfunctional home lives and as such can be very emotional verbally and sometimes physically. You must be able to deal with volatile emotions and de-escalate situations calmly. You must be resilient and recognise when and when not to intervene.

The school day is 9:00 - 3:00, Monday to Friday and you will be paid £85 per day. This is a full-time role to start as soon as possible.

You do not need school based experience but having experience with vulnerable adults or children - or - you have a relevant degree (Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Social work etc). We have had many successes with all walks of life but here are a few:

  • Youth leaders

  • Teaching Assistants
  • Personal experience with family/ friends with disabilities
  • Support workers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
