Youth Worker – Full-Time in Wilmslow
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Youth Worker to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Wilmslow. This full-time position starts in October and runs until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity for the role to be made permanent based on performance.
Role Overview:
As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students' emotional, social, and academic development. You will work with students who may face a variety of challenges, helping them engage positively with their education and fostering a supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Offering one-to-one and small group mentoring to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students to support their personal development and well-being.
- Assisting students in overcoming barriers to learning, improving their confidence and engagement in school activities.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to develop and implement support strategies for students.
- Helping to manage and de-escalate challenging behavior, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Providing support during break and lunch times, engaging students in constructive activities to promote positive social interactions.
- Encouraging students to set personal goals and guiding them to make positive life choices both in and outside of school.
- Contributing to a positive school culture, ensuring students feel supported, valued, and understood.
Key Details:
- Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
- Start Date: October, continuing until the end of the academic year.
- Potential for the role to become permanent, based on performance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
