Teaching Personnel is currently collaborating with a dynamic and challenging Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Eastbourne, and we're seeking confident, empathetic, and resilient Youth Workers to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Youth Worker in this Secondary PRU, you will play a crucial role in supporting students facing various educational and behavioural challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building positive and trusting relationships with students
• Providing one-on-one and group support in a variety of subjects and activities
• Assisting with the implementation of behaviour management strategies
• Collaborating with teaching staff to create a supportive learning environment
• Empowering students to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential

We are looking for individuals who possess the following:

• Confidence and resilience to work in a challenging educational setting
• Empathy and understanding of the needs of young people facing difficulties
• Ability to engage and motivate students in their learning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
