Teaching Personnel is currently collaborating with a dynamic and challenging Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Eastbourne, and we're seeking confident, empathetic, and resilient Youth Workers to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Youth Worker in this Secondary PRU, you will play a crucial role in supporting students facing various educational and behavioural challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building positive and trusting relationships with students
- Providing one-on-one and group support in a variety of subjects and activities
- Assisting with the implementation of behaviour management strategies
- Collaborating with teaching staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Empowering students to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential
We are looking for individuals who possess the following:
- Confidence and resilience to work in a challenging educational setting
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of young people facing difficulties
- Ability to engage and motivate students in their learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
