Youth Worker

-          Competitive hourly rate of pay £12.90 p/h

-          No prior school experience needed.

-          Start date: ASAP

-          Full-time working hours, Monday – Friday (8:15am – 3:30pm), Friday (8:15am – 2:30pm)

-          No relevant education qualifications required.

-          Experience supporting people with additional needs / challenging behaviours is required.

Teaching Personnel in partnership with a specialist school in the BB10 area are looking for additional staff, they have commented that they would like individuals with a calm and nurturing approach. They have recently had success with individuals in school providing additional support from a care/ support background.

The role will involve general support within the classroom, as well the expectation of delivering specialised interventions on 1:1 basis and in small groups. The children who attend this provision are aged 11-16 years with additional needs. With this expectation relevant training will be provided. Depending on your experience, you may be asked to work 1:1 with specific pupils who may need additional support and nurturing to enhance their learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
