Youth Support Worker – Cardiff
Start Date: ASAP (subject to vetting checks)
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: Weekly via Teaching Personnel
Holidays: 12 weeks per year (school term-time only)

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in their lives? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Youth Support Worker to work within a supportive school setting in Cardiff.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for individuals with a background in youth work, care, or those looking to gain experience within education.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
  • Assisting in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
  • Working closely with teaching staff to support learning and development
  • Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence in students

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people (youth work, care, coaching, or similar)
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Passion for supporting vulnerable or disengaged learners
  • A genuine interest in education or youth support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
