Year 4 Teacher – Exeter
Are you a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in the classroom? We are working with supportive and welcoming primary schools in Exeter who are seeking a Year 4 Teacher to inspire, challenge, and support pupils during this key stage of their learning.

About the Role

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, independence, and personal development within a positive and structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 4

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning, behaviour, and wellbeing

Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles

Assess, track, and report on pupil progress using formative and summative assessment strategies
-
Provide clear, constructive feedback to support pupil development and attainment
-
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative school community

Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities
Person Specification
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching in KS2 is desirable, though Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply

Strong classroom management and organisational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

A commitment to inclusive education and high standards of teaching and learning
