Year 4 Teacher – Exeter

Are you a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in the classroom? We are working with supportive and welcoming primary schools in Exeter who are seeking a Year 4 Teacher to inspire, challenge, and support pupils during this key stage of their learning.

About the Role

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, independence, and personal development within a positive and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 4

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning, behaviour, and wellbeing

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles

  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress using formative and summative assessment strategies

  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support pupil development and attainment

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative school community

  • Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching in KS2 is desirable, though Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • A commitment to inclusive education and high standards of teaching and learning
