Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children with additional needs within the school community. This may include working on a 1-1 basis, providing tailored assistance that enables every child to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualised Support: Work closely with children with additional needs, providing personalized assistance to help them access the curriculum.
  • Inclusive Environment: Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that values diversity and promotes positive social interactions.
  • Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment that caters to all students' needs.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track students' progress and provide feedback to educators and parents, ensuring a comprehensive support system.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with additional needs is essential.
  • Education: Minimum of Level 2 qualification in education or a relevant subject.
  • Values: Applicants do not need to be of the Roman Catholic faith; however, they must uphold the policies and values of our school community.

Fixed Contract with Permanent Potential: This role offers a fixed contract of 1-2 years, during which you may have the opportunity to transition to a permanent contract. A 15-week probation period with the school will precede the signing of a school contract.

Working Hours:

  • Timing: Between 8.30am and 3.30pm
  • Lunch Break: 30 minutes

Training: Training can be provided to enhance your skills in supporting children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
