Job Title: Year 2 Teacher
Location: Wellingborough
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)
Contract: Full-time, with potential for permanent placement

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 2 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Wellingborough. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher looking to make a difference in children's education and to develop professionally within a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 2 students
  • Mark and assess pupils’ work, providing feedback to support their learning and development
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the senior leadership team to ensure the well-being and progress of all students
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to school-wide activities and initiatives

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience preferred)
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire young learners
  • Ability to plan, prepare, and mark in line with school expectations
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils
