Job description

Teaching Personnel is proud to be supporting a large Trust in the search for an inspiring Year 2 Teacher to join a warm and welcoming Primary school in Exeter. This role is full time, with the standard working hours being 8:30am-5:00pm, due to assisting with afterschool clubs and activities (with pay reflecting the hours).

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Prior experience working in KS1 and a good understanding of the KS1 national curriculum
  • A passion for supporting children academically, socially, and emotionally

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and engaging effective lessons that will inspire young pupils
  • Support and assist individual with additional needs
  • Liaising with parents and carers to provide feedback on pupils’ progress and needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
