Job Title: Year 2 Teacher

Location: Cotgrave, NG12 Area

Position Overview: As a Year 2 Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and empower students, fostering their love for learning and supporting their academic and personal development. Working collaboratively with a team of dedicated educators, you will deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school policies.
  • Create a positive and nurturing learning environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and resilience.
  • Assess student progress and attainment, providing regular feedback to support individual learning needs and inform future planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and innovative teaching approaches.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and caregivers, maintaining regular communication and involving families in their child’s education journey.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and contribute to the wider school community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably within a Year 2 setting.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum, assessment frameworks, and best practices in primary education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to promoting the holistic development and well-being of every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
