Speech and Language Specialist Teaching Assistant
Role: SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs) Teaching Assistant
Location: Hayes
Pay: £70 - £95
Duration: Full time
About the role:
- Working 1:1 or in small groups of children who have Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Working with children who: have difficulty saying what they want to, sound muddled, find it difficult to understand words and long instructions, have difficulty remembering the words they want to say, and find it hard to join and follow what is going on.
- Using a range of strategies, such as visual cards and Makaton signing.
Essential criteria:
- Have a child only DBS on the Update Service – or be willing to apply for one
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Experience with SLCN is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
