Year 2 Teacher – South Ribble, Preston (September 2026 Start)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Ribble, Preston is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time opportunity within a supportive school environment that values high standards of teaching, strong relationships, and pupil engagement.

The school has been recognised as “Good” in its most recent Ofsted inspection and prides itself on maintaining high levels of attainment. The Year 2 class consists of approximately 28 pupils and benefits from the support of a Teaching Assistant. It is conveniently located with good access to public transport and offers on-site parking for staff.

The Role
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the Year 2 class, delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and supporting pupils as they progress through this important stage of their education. As a full-time position, the role includes planning, marking, and tracking pupil progress.

Candidate Requirements
The Head Teacher is seeking a confident and experienced teacher who can effectively prepare pupils for assessment and deliver consistently high-quality teaching. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage classroom responsibilities efficiently are essential.

  • Full-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break)

  • Pay: Paid in line with Main Pay Scale, £163 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
  • Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience
