Are you experienced in working alongside children with ASC and confident working alongside children displaying challenging behaviour?

A proven track record of working with children across the KS1 Curriculum is essential

PRESTON

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to source x2 Teaching Assistants to work alongside two children for a Church of England Primary School in Preston. If you are passionate and driven to support children and contribute toward Literacy and Numeracy support, we want to hear from you.

We are able to provide a full time, term time only role working from 8:45-3:15 five days per week. The ideal candidates must be passionate about supporting children and have enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to work effectively with our learning community.

Essentials:

  • Experience working within a Primary School within the last 18 months.
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification or above. English and Maths GCSE (grade C)
  • The ability to work alongside small groups of children supporting Literacy, Numeracy and Phonics.
  • A positive and open minded attitude and high personal and professional standards. Keen to make a difference to the lives of children.
  • Be able to track pupil progress for small groups and report back to the teacher.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and provide general classroom support to the teacher.
  • Developing positive behaviour management strategies to maximise attainment in the classroom and keep pupils on task.

The school is located in the centre Preston and the majority of children who arrive in school are working in line with age expectations. The role will be to start ASAP and run until Easter depending on how well the child engages with the support. The rate of pay is competitive with other roles of this sort start from £9 per hour.
