Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant Jobs – Full-Time, Part-Time & Flexible Work

Locations: Barry, Bridgend, Cardiff, Cowbridge, Llantrisant, Penarth & Pontypridd
Start Date: 23rd February
Pay: £89 – £110 per day (paid weekly, based on experience)
Hours: Full-time, part-time and flexible Teaching Assistant work available

Are you a confident Welsh speaker looking for Teaching Assistant jobs or TA work in South Wales? We work with a wide network of primary schools and Welsh-medium schools across Barry, Bridgend, Cardiff, Cowbridge, Llantrisant, Penarth and Pontypridd, and we are recruiting Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to start from 23rd February.

Whether you are searching for full-time Teaching Assistant roles, part-time TA jobs, or flexible school support work, this opportunity offers the chance to gain classroom experience, support pupils through the Welsh language, and build experience in education. No formal qualifications are required, making this role ideal for graduates, career changers, or experienced Teaching Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in primary school classrooms

  • Providing one-to-one and small group learning support

  • Working with pupils through the Welsh language

  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom resources

  • Supervising pupils during lessons, activities and break times

What Schools Are Looking For:

  • Confident spoken and written Welsh

  • Reliable, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant support

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine interest in working in schools and education

  • Experience in childcare, education or school support roles (desirable but not essential)
