Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-medium Primary School Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive primary school in the CF10 area of Cardiff. This is a full-time position, starting in January, with the opportunity to make a long-lasting impact within a thriving school community.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and committed teacher who can deliver high-quality teaching through the medium of Welsh. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil progress, and contributing positively to the wider school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistently high-quality teaching in line with the Welsh curriculum

  • Plan, prepare and assess pupils’ work to ensure strong progress

  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities

  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and professionalism

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Fluency in the Welsh language (spoken and written)

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Experience working in a primary school setting (desired but not essential)

  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young learners

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team

  • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
