Welsh-Speaking Primary Teacher Needed
Location: Bridgend
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
Pay: £172.98 – £190 per day (paid weekly)
Start Date: January

Are you a passionate, confident Welsh-speaking teacher looking for a new opportunity this January? A nurturing and forward-thinking primary school in the Bridgend area is seeking an enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Teacher to join their team.

This is a fantastic role for someone who is dedicated to delivering high-quality learning through the Welsh language and supporting pupils to reach their full potential. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an NQT/ECT, the school offers a welcoming environment where you can thrive.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons through Welsh

  • Support pupils of varying abilities to make progress

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with support staff and colleagues

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and parents

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it (ECTs welcome)

  • Confident Welsh speaker (spoken and written)

  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to high standards

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A passion for supporting children’s academic and personal development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
