Unqualified Teaching Roles – NQTs Awaiting QTS – Full-Time, Part-Time & Flexible Work

Locations: Barry, Bridgend, Cardiff, Cowbridge, Llantrisant, Penarth & Pontypridd
Start Date: 23rd February
Pay: £100 – £140 per day (paid weekly, based on experience)
Hours: Full-time, part-time and flexible teaching work available

Are you a trainee teacher or NQT who hasn’t yet achieved QTS and looking for classroom-based teaching work in South Wales? We are recruiting Unqualified Teachers and NQTs awaiting qualification to work across a wide network of primary and secondary schools in Barry, Bridgend, Cardiff, Cowbridge, Llantrisant, Penarth and Pontypridd.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, build confidence before securing your first permanent role, and earn while completing your teacher training or awaiting QTS confirmation.

Whether you are seeking full-time teaching experience, part-time classroom work, or flexible supply opportunities, we can match placements to your availability and subject specialism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Supporting pupil progress across your subject or key stage
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Adapting learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Marking and providing feedback where required
  • Maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment

What Schools Are Looking For:

  • Currently completing a PGCE or teacher training programme
  • NQTs awaiting Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom confidence
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Professionalism, reliability and enthusiasm
  • A genuine commitment to a career in teaching
