Welsh-Medium Year 2 Teacher – CF3 Area, Cardiff
Location: CF3 Area, Cardiff
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £166.32 per day (paid weekly)
Start Date: September 1st, 2025
Are you passionate about teaching in Welsh and inspiring young learners? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated Welsh-medium Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the CF3 area of Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a Year 2 class, delivering engaging lessons entirely through Welsh, and helping pupils develop strong literacy, numeracy, and social skills in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Planning and delivering the national curriculum through the medium of Welsh
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where all pupils can thrive
• Supporting individual learning needs, including ALN pupils, with tailored activities
• Tracking pupil progress and adapting teaching approaches to meet learners’ needs
• Collaborating with staff and parents to support pupils’ wellbeing and development
• Promoting Welsh language, culture, and a love of learning through creative teaching
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
• Fluent in Welsh (spoken and written – essential)
• A qualified teacher with QTS
• Passionate about primary education and Welsh-medium teaching
• Confident in managing a lively Year 2 class
• Enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable to different learning styles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
