Job description

Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Based in Swansea
Must be able to travel at least 30 minutes | Own transport required
⏰ Start: When you’re ready to make a difference.

THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER SCHOOL JOB.

This is the kind of role where you walk in every morning knowing you matter.
Where a single high-five, a breakthrough moment, or a smile from a learner can flip your whole day around in the best way possible.

If you’re a fluent Welsh speaker who loves helping young people discover what they’re capable of…
then honestly? We want you.
Actually—we need you.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT?

  • You won’t be “just the LSA.”
You’ll be the person who unlocks confidence, sparks curiosity, and makes learning feel doable for kids who need you most.
  • No two days are the same.
If you hate boring routines and love feeling useful, this is your playground.
  • We value people, not paperwork.
(Okay, there is some paperwork. But we promise you won’t drown in it.)
  • You get REAL responsibility, support, and growth.
Whether you’re seasoned or brand new, we’ll help you level up.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support learners 1:1 and in groups—in Welsh and English
  • Bring positivity, patience, humour, and heart into the classroom
  • Work closely with passionate teachers who actually appreciate you
  • Help children who need that extra bit of understanding, structure, or encouragement
  • Be the calm, steady presence that helps learners thrive

THE KIND OF PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Fluent Welsh speaker
  • Previous experience workign with children
  • Reliable and able to travel (minimum 30 minutes)
  • Own transport is essential
  • Kind & Patient
  • Someone who sees potential—even when a pupil doesn’t see it yet
  • Experience is great, but attitude is EVERYTHING
