Unqualified Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Rhondda Cynon Taf

Daily Pay: £89.38 (£13.75 per hour)

A welcoming school in Rhondda Cynon Taf is looking for an enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their team. You don’t need formal teaching qualifications – just a passion for helping children succeed and the willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of the classroom team. You will:

  • Support children individually and in small groups with their learning

  • Help create a positive and nurturing classroom environment

  • Encourage children to stay motivated, engaged, and confident

  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation

  • Provide a listening ear and emotional support when needed


Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Enjoy working with children and young people

  • Are patient, caring, and approachable

  • Have good communication and teamwork skills

  • Bring experience from childcare, youth work, sports coaching, customer service, or similar roles

  • Are eager to learn new skills and make a difference in education

(Previous school experience is welcome but not essential – transferable skills are highly valued.)


Requirements

To work in this role, you’ll need (or be willing to obtain):

  • EWC registration (School Learning Support Worker category)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

  • Two professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
