1:1 Tutors Needed – Maths & English
Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole
Are you an experienced educator looking for flexible, rewarding work that genuinely makes a difference?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with local authorities to provide 1:1 tuition for pupils educated outside of mainstream settings (EOTAS). We’re seeking dedicated, patient tutors to deliver personalised Maths and English support across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, and surrounding areas.
Many of the pupils you’ll support have SEND and/or SEMH needs and require a compassionate, tailored approach to learning. Your role will be central in helping them re-engage with education through individualised catch-up programmes. Most pupils are of secondary age, though they may be working below age-related expectations.
This role is ideal for teachers who value flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful impact.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
-
A patient, compassionate approach and commitment to inclusive education

Confidence delivering Maths and/or English sessions
-
Experience supporting SEND or SEMH pupils (desirable, not essential)
-
The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
