Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Maths, English or Science)

Pay: From £25 per hour

The Role

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will deliver tailored lessons based on each student’s individual learning needs. You will help build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and support students in achieving their academic goals.

Location

Tutoring sessions may take place in person at learners’ homes, schools, or local libraries across Worcester, depending on individual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective 1:1 tutoring sessions
  • Support students in Maths, English, or Science (up to GCSE level)
  • Identify learning gaps and create personalised lesson plans
  • Encourage confidence, motivation, and positive study habits
  • Provide feedback on student progress when required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A genuine passion for supporting students and helping them succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
