1:1 Tutor (In-Home / School Setting) – Bromsgrove Area
Location: Bromsgrove and surrounding areas
Hours: School hours (flexible within 8:30am–3:30pm)
Type: Part-time / Contract
Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutor to support pupils across the Bromsgrove area, working either in their home or within a school setting during school hours.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised learning support to pupils who may require additional help to engage with education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions based on individual learning needs
- Support core subjects such as English, Maths, and other curriculum areas as required
- Create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of needs, including SEN where appropriate
- Monitor progress and provide feedback following sessions
- Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals
Requirements
- Teaching qualification (QTS) or a minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience delivering the UK curriculum
- Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or support roles)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, patient, and reliable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Background in education, youth work, or pastoral support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
