Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School Settings)
Location: Northampton and surrounding areas
Hours: School hours (flexible)
Contract Type: Part-time / Flexible
About the Role:
We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in Northampton. This role involves delivering tailored, individualised learning sessions either in the pupil’s home or within a school setting during school hours.
You will work with students who may require additional support, including those with SEND, SEMH needs, or those outside of mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons aligned with the pupil’s needs
- Support students in core subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and abilities
- Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
- Track progress and provide regular feedback
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent, or at least 2 years’ UK teaching experience
- Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, or support roles)
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
- Ability to manage behaviour and engage learners effectively
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
- Experience with SEND and/or SEMH students
- PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
