GCSE Intervention Tutors – English & Maths – Loughton
Flexible, rewarding tutoring roles with Teaching Personnel
Are you a passionate educator with experience in English or Maths? Do you thrive on helping students reach their full potential outside the traditional classroom? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting GCSE Intervention Tutors in the Loughton area to deliver impactful, personalised support in English and Maths.
We’re looking for Qualified Teachers, HLTAs, and SEN/SEMH specialists to join our mission of improving student outcomes through targeted, one-to-one and small group tutoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned GCSE English and/or Maths sessions
- Work with learners in homes, libraries, or care settings
- Identify gaps and track progress using Ed Place assessments
- Log attendance and progress via our LEAP reporting platform
- Communicate any safeguarding concerns promptly
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience delivering the UK curriculum
- Confident in planning tailored lessons and creating teaching materials
- Experience supporting students with SEN and/or SEMH needs
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills
- A proactive, compassionate, and adaptable teaching approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
