Job description

Job Title: Tutor

Job Duties:

  • Provide outreach tutoring services in English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students
  • Create engaging and interactive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and school staff
  • Collaborate with teachers and educational professionals to support student learning
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with Key Stage 3 students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of the English and Maths curriculum

Education:

A degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs
  • Proficient in using a variety of teaching strategies and resources
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialist training in teaching English or Maths
  • Experience working in outreach or community education programmes

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in learners homes, local libraries or schools
  • Potential travel required within the East of England region

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
