SEN Tutor
Job description
We are currently recruiting passionate and experienced English, Maths and Science teachers/tutors to support our Summer School programme in Clacton throughout July and August, with ongoing tuition opportunities available afterwards through referrals from Local Authorities and schools.
This role involves delivering engaging group teaching sessions in your specialist subject area during the summer school, followed by potential 1:1 and small group tuition opportunities throughout the academic year.
Requirements:
- Qualified or experienced in teaching/tutoring English, Maths or Science
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver high-quality teaching
- A compassionate, patient and empathetic approach towards students
- Minimum availability expectation: 10–15 hours per week
- Ability to provide in-person tuition in settings such as:
- Students’ homes
- Schools
- Public spaces such as libraries
- Willingness to potentially provide online tuition where required
- Ability to plan, record and monitor sessions effectively
- Willingness to complete our vetting and safeguarding checks
Safeguarding Requirements:
Applicants must either:
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or
- Be willing to apply for one as part of our recruitment process

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
