Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a reliable School Driver & Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Leigh, Irlam, Little Hulton, Lowton, Eccles. This dual role involves transporting pupils safely to/from school and educational trips and providing in-class support for low level SEN/SEMH pupils.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collect pupils from home and safely transport them to school and back
  • Knock on doors / liaise with families to ensure timely collections
  • Support pupils in-class: behaviour, emotional regulation, and learning activities
  • Assist teachers with resources, classroom organisation, and small-group support
  • Ensure a safe, calm, and inclusive environment on the journey and in the classroom

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence & own vehicle (business insurance required or willing to obtain)
  • Comfortable working with children
  • Confident, reliable, and punctual
  • Experience supporting pupils in a classroom or SEN/SEMH setting desirable

Hours:

  • Transport Hours: Morning: 09:00–10:00 | Afternoon: 14:00–14:30
  • School Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
