Trainee Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are looking for a trainee teaching assistant to work in a primary school in Monmouth. If you’re someone who has thought about working as a teaching assistant before but didn’t think you had the right experience or qualification, this is the perfect opportunity for you. This trainee teaching assistant position offers the opportunity to learn while you’re on the job with support from teachers and other teaching assistants. You will also have access to course through Teaching Personnel’s CPD Academy, where you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge.
Teaching Assistant Role:
- Provide learning support for pupils 1:1 and small groups
- Establish trusting relationships with pupils and offer pastoral support
- Encourage positive behaviour within the classroom and other areas of school life
- Literacy and Numeracy interventions e.g. guided reading groups
- Prepare learning resources for pupils
- Support the school with extra-curricular activities
Role Summary:
- Full-time, part-time or ad hoc work available
- Minimum £12.90 per hour
- Location: Monmouth

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
