Trainee Maths Teacher – Outstanding Secondary School (Wigan)

Are you a Maths graduate or someone with a strong mathematical background looking to start a rewarding career in education?
We are working in partnership with an Outstanding secondary school in Wigan that is seeking an aspiring Maths Teacher to join their team and begin their journey into teaching.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while receiving support and guidance towards teacher training.
The Role
- Full-time position from September 2026
- Support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Maths lessons
- Work alongside experienced teachers and school leaders
- Develop classroom management and lesson delivery skills
- Opportunity to progress onto a salaried or supported teacher training route
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Maths or a related subject
- Passion for education and inspiring young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
- Committed to pursuing a career in teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
