Year 1 Teacher – Thetford Area (Fixed Term)

Pay: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)

We are supporting a warm, welcoming primary setting in the Thetford area, who are looking to appoint a Year 1 Teacher on a fixed-term basis. This is a brilliant opportunity for a dedicated teacher who wants to make a real impact in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.


The Role

You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for Year 1 pupils.

  • Create a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere.

  • Use creative and flexible teaching approaches to support all learners.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

  • Contribute to wider school life and uphold strong values and expectations.


About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree (or equivalent) and QTS.

  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.

  • Effective strategies for supporting pupils with a range of needs.

  • Confidence with technology and modern classroom approaches.

  • A reflective mindset and commitment to professional growth.

  • Strong knowledge of current educational developments.

  • Versatility in teaching and learning strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
