Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant – Wakefield (WF Area)

Location: Wakefield
Pay: £90 – £105 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm

We’re looking for a Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive specialist school in Wakefield (WF area).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident managing behaviour and passionate about helping young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, or other learning differences.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with additional needs.

  • Implement de-escalation and behaviour support strategies in line with Team Teach training.

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with learners.

  • Support the class teacher with differentiated learning and emotional regulation strategies.

  • Assist with personal care and moving & handling when required.

Requirements:

  • Team Teach trained (or willing to refresh training).

  • Experience in an SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision setting.

  • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • Reliable, patient, and proactive approach.

  • Full-time availability; driving licence desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
