Specialist Secondary SEN School – Oxfordshire
Teaching Personnel are recruiting an SEN Science Teacher to teach GCSE Science from January through to the Easter term in a specialist secondary SEN setting in Oxfordshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with small groups of pupils with complex educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health needs and communication difficulties, within a highly supportive environment.
The Role
As an SEN Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible GCSE Science lessons tailored to meet individual learner needs.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering differentiated Science lessons aligned with the GCSE curriculum

Adapting teaching approaches to support a range of SEN needs

Creating a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment

Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
-
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and pastoral staff
The Setting
The school is a specialist secondary provision for pupils aged 11–18, offering small class sizes and a bespoke curriculum focused on academic progress, emotional wellbeing and personal development.
The Ideal Candidate
-
Qualified Teacher (QTS or equivalent preferred)

Experience teaching Science at GCSE level

SEN experience or a strong interest in working within SEN education
-
Patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive teaching

Confident in differentiating lessons and supporting diverse learning needs
