Teaching Assistants Required - SEN/SEMH Schools

Chorley & Skelmersdale | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | £14.25 - £15.00 per hour

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, or someone with a background supporting children or vulnerable adults? Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to young people's lives?

We are currently recruiting full-time and part-time Teaching Assistants to work within a range of SEN and SEMH schools across Chorley and Skelmersdale, supporting pupils from primary through to secondary age.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and associated learning difficulties.
  • Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support learning and engagement.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils with emotional regulation.
  • Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, Residential Support Worker, Youth Worker, or similar.
  • Confidence working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
  • A resilient, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their potential.
