Supply Teaching Assistants – Launceston Area
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Ongoing
Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available
Pay: Competitive rates

We are currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support a number of primary schools in the Launceston area. With high demand for TAs in this region, there are both day-to-day and long-term roles available — with the opportunity to go temp-to-perm for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils with their learning in class
-
Working 1:1 or in small groups to deliver targeted interventions
-
Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management and lesson preparation
-
Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
-
Supporting children with additional needs, including SEN
-
Maintaining strong communication with school staff and pupils
We’re looking for people who:
-
Have experience working with children (school, nursery, youth work, or similar)
-
Are enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable
-
Are confident working independently or as part of a team
-
Hold relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
