Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants for a range of positions in local primary schools, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements and potential permanent opportunities.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
You'll be responsible for:
- Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities
- Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and classroom tasks
- Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback where required
- Building positive relationships with children, staff and families
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEND where needed, adapting learning to suit individual needs
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
- A positive, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to adapt to different classroom environments
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- The ability to travel to local schools is beneficial, though not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
