Teaching Assistant to Support 1 to 1 with Autism

Job description

Currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism.

The student is of Primary age and would need monitoring and supporting during break and lunch times. Whilst in the classroom you would be expected to be a general Teaching Assistant to assist the class teacher and the pupil when needed.

A friendly and welcoming Primary School with a strong team to support you in this new exciting role. The ideal candidate will:

  • Contribute to the management of the pupils behaviour
  • Observe and report on pupil performance
  • Assisting the class teacher
  • Assisting the child with their reading and writing with the overall aim of helping them to become independent in their learning
  • Monitoring the pupils progress
  • Running interventions with groups of students - aiming to raise attainment in Numeracy and Literacy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
