SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Frome, Somerset

SEN Teaching Assistant

This is a supportive and nurturing specialist setting that works with pupils who have a range of additional needs, providing a caring environment where every child is valued, understood, and empowered to achieve their potential!
The Role
You’ll play a key part in providing exceptional support to students between the ages of 8-18 years old with additional needs such as:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Social Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Communication difficulties
- Challenging behaviour
This school offers both traditional classroom environments and specialist therapeutic and vocational facilities, along with various therapeutic engagements:
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Thrive interventions
- Play Therapy
Who We Are Looking For
- SEMH knowledge and experience (in or out of an educational setting)
- SEND knowledge and experience (in or out of an educational setting)
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
- Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
Working Hours/Benefits
- Full Time & Part Time options available
- Monday-Friday
- Term Time Only
- 12.07% Holiday Pay

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
