Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Swansea
Location: Swansea
Start Date: September 2026
⏰ Hours: Full-Time
Pay: £92.63 per day
Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in a child’s life? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Swansea this September.
The Role
You will be working 1:1 with a lovely Year 5 pupil who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Your support will play a key role in helping him thrive both academically and emotionally.
✏️ Key Responsibilities

Provide individualised support with reading and writing

Help create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
-
Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement ⭐
✅ What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children (school-based experience is a bonus)

Understanding of ASD or willingness to learn

Patient, empathetic, and reliable personality

Strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
