Join Our Team as a School Personal Care Assistant – September Start
We are seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join a secondary school in Bolton as Personal Care Support Assistants for a September 2026 start.
In this role, you will provide essential personal and pastoral support to pupils with additional needs, ensuring their comfort, dignity, safety, and wellbeing throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in care—or a strong commitment to supporting young people in a care‑focused capacity—within a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 personal care support to pupils as required
- Assist with mobility, personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, and mealtimes
- Offer emotional reassurance and consistent pastoral support
- Support pupils during transitions throughout the school day
- Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate care records
- Work closely with school staff to ensure pupils’ health, safety, and wellbeing
We’re Looking For Candidates Who:
- Have a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional or complex needs
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, discretion, and resilience
- Are confident delivering personal care in a professional and respectful manner
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Are reliable, adaptable, and able to respond calmly to changing needs
- Live in or can commute to Bolton and surrounding areas
(Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential; training can be provided.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
