Job description

Part-Time Teaching Assistant (Mornings Only) – KS2 | Start ASAP | Lytham

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lytham, supporting KS2 pupils with challenging behaviour and ADHD. This is a mornings-only, part‑time role to start ASAP.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with ADHD and behavioural needs
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who require consistency and emotional support
  • Use de-escalation strategies and behaviour‑management techniques effectively
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support
  • Help create a calm, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Experience Needed

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
  • Previous TA experience in a primary school setting (KS2 preferred)
  • Strong understanding of ADHD and effective support strategies
  • Excellent communication and resilience
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
