At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in a welcoming mainstream primary school.
We are working closely with a large Trust of Mainstream Primary schools in the Warwickshire area, supporting them with recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support pupils.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting both teachers and pupils throughout the school day with learning and development. You'll work collaboratively with school staff to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Daily Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Assist with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy interventions.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those requiring additional support through differentiated lessons and activities for targeted support.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote a respectful classroom environment.
- Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
- Supervise pupils during lessons and other school activities where required.
- Record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Help maintain a safe, organised and stimulating classroom environment.
- Follow all safeguarding and school policies.
What We're Looking For
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or above), or equivalent relevant experience working within a UK primary school.
- Previous experience supporting children within a mainstream primary education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
- A commitment to supporting children's academic and personal development.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- The ability to commute reliably to schools across Warwickshire.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
