Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic sports coach to work as Teaching Assistant to support a secondary aged child on a 1:1 basis who has behavioural difficulties. You will be working with the pupil in and out of their vocational lessons, doing sport activities with them and supporting their health and wellbeing.

The role is to start in September 2020 and will be full time- Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm- term time only.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

  • Have a NVQ Level 2 or above in a child related subject.
  • Have a full driving licence with access to transport daily.
  • Be proactive and willing to get involved across the school.
  • Be passionate and enthusiastic to work with pupils within the setting to enhance their learning and support their welfare and mental health.
  • Must have experience of working with young people and will have had experience of working within the education or healthcare sector and with multi-agencies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
