Are you looking for a role supporting children who struggle with the classroom environment?

The Sheffield Primary Team of Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of schools across Sheffield, Rotherham, Worksop and Chesterfield. We are looking for specialist teaching assistants who can support children expressing challenging behaviour on a 121 basis or with small groups. Many children struggle with transition and getting back into routines after a break away from the classroom, we would like to support schools with this transitional period after the holidays. 

Ideally, we are looking for support staff members who have additional skills such as Team Teach, MAPA or Thrive to best support children struggling with the classroom environment. You will be expected to support children outside of the classroom, running nurture sessions or Lego Therapy to build trust and relationships with the pupils. The aim is to support children with their integration back into the classroom, where they may still need 121 support. You must be patient and resilient and able to build rapport with children who have attachment issues or Special Educational Needs.
