Teaching Assistant - Oldham - Full time

Earn up to £70 a day as a Teaching Assistant at an Ofsted graded 'Good' school in Oldham supporting pupils on a 1:1 and group basis.

Teaching Personnel are working alongside an Ofsted graded 'Good' school in Oldham who require a full time Teaching Assistant to join the school with immediate effect. This would be an ongoing position with the potential of a permanent contract at the end of the academic year. The school would like to invite candidates to interview at the soonest convenience and as such it is highly recommended that you apply as soon as possible if this role is of interest to you.

Our client school is a large modern school based in the heart of Oldham and is easily accessibly by public transport as well as your own car, with free on site parking available for staff. The school has recently been graded 'Good' by Ofsted and was heavily praised on the leadership within the school as well as the support structure set in place for both students and pupils alike. Due to a recent multimillion pound refurbishment staff and pupils can also benefit from excellent teaching and learning provisions due to the state of the art facilities throughout the building.

Whilst working as a Teaching Assistant your role will differ day to day, whether you are working with pupils on a 1:1 basis within the classroom or if you are tasked in delivering a group tuition session after school, each day will deliver a different challenge as you make an important difference in these young peoples lives. Due to the nature of the role previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is preferred, however we would welcome applications from those with similar transferable experience, such as having previously worked in a school or having supported young people in a different capacity. We would also like to hear from any recent graduates considering enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme in the future.

For further information contact the Manchester Secondary branch of Teaching Personnel or simply apply to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV and a cover letter.
