A client school in the Wilmslow area are looking for a graduate to fill a Teaching Assistant role for the upcoming school year, the role starts in September on a full-time basis.
Pay for this role: £1500 - £1700 per month.
The ideal candidate will have experience working/volunteering as:
- Youth workers with experience working with children
- Sports coaches who have the transferable skills needed to engage young people
- Healthcare workers with experience with children
- Psychology/Sociology graduates who have studied how to communicate with those with SEN requirements and behavioural issues
Our client takes great pride in its SEN department, always aiming to provide whatever support a student in their school may need. As a Teaching Assistant you will act as a mentor as well as a teacher, providing an ear when a pupil has something on their mind and giving advice where you can.
Additionally, it is important the successful applicant can:
- Provide in-depth support within the classroom, providing detailed resources relevant to certain topics
- Consistently provide engaging, high-quality sessions, adapting your teaching where necessary
- Work in a wider SEN team, aiming to provide a high-quality learning experience
- Independently run small group and 1:1 interventions outside of the classroom
- Look to raise student attainment across all ability levels
The school will provide full training around key school issues, which include Safeguarding, EAL, and SEMH. The applicant will receive consistent support and will also gain the opportunity to cover full scale classes when staff absences occur.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
