Job description

Learning mentors needed to work in secondary schools in Tameside to work with students who have special educational needs, social emotional mental health support, behaviour and autism. Teaching Personnel work with SEN Co-ordinators and senior leaders in Tameside who are requesting support staff for the new academic year in September.

The role of a learning mentor is incredibly rewarding as you are able to actively impact a students achievement through tailored 1:1 and small group support. You will be working within a special educational needs department that is close knit, have clear targets in place to ensure all students area achieving their expected levels of progress.

Key features of the learning mentor role;

  • Full time or part time positions available for September 2020
  • 1:1 and small group support
  • Paid weekly through pay as you earn up to GBP350 per week
  • Regular training and development courses
  • Opportunity to earn a school based contract after an initial introduction through Teaching Personnel
